Natural20 said to me, “People need to know what they can do;
they feel lost and so they do nothing.
You picked the name Green-Psychopomp, which means to shepherd people to
a green future, so go and do that.” The message
is: Do what you can.
Do what you can to make this world better.
Can you ride your bicycle to work? Can you walk to work? Can you take public transit to work? Can you
eat meat less? Can you turn the lights
off when you are not using them? Can you
use less water than you do now? Can you
trim 5 minutes off your shower? Can you have
5-minute showers? Can you reduce your
garbage footprint? Can you reduce your
plastic footprint? If you can do any of
these things do it and tell people that you did them.
You can do it.
If you own your house, you can put solar panels on it. If you have a lawn, you can plant a
tree. If you use air-conditioning, you
can try to passively cool your house. If
you use heat to keep your space warm, you can put on a sweater and turn the
heat down a little bit.
No one is asking you to do everything, just do
something. Then tell people what you did
to help save the environment, to help save the world, to help your children and
your children’s children and their children to have opportunities.
Buy a Hybrid car. Buy
an electric car. Reduce the number of
trips you make with your car. Carpool. Walk to the grocery store.
It is not up to you to save the planet, it is up to
everyone, but sometimes you need to show people that it can be done, even a
little bit.
Read a book.
