Tim's Girl

Course done!  And handed in.  All that is left is the wailing and knish ing of teeth.

Did it at Tim's as per usual

There is a girl, there.  There are several actually, but there is one who exuberantly greets me.  Actually there seems to be a few.  I don't know how to take it, so as usual, my caution wins.

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned to the manager that she looked like she needed a day off, rather I asked her when her day off was, she told me, she gets one and she manages three stores.  She then, the next week spontaneously told me that she took a real day off and we to a resort for the weekend.  She had to share.  Today, my order was being taken, and she jumped in and started to take my order, then had to go.  She just made eye contact, or was that me and she smiled and waved.

Months ago Maria, that is her name memorized my order.  Nothing strange at all.  A few weeks ago I talked to her for the first time, like really talked, not just ordered.  She just finished high school and is going to university in the fall for animal sciences, to which I asked if she wanted to be a vet, she assented.  Couple days ago I was bombing up to a stop light where I had to stop, there was a white jeep and I noticed the driver recognize me, so I tried to figure out who it was.  I thought it was someone else but I saw the same jeep parked at Tim's, might be her.  Not stalking anyone

Last week I told the attendant that I just finished my essay and she gave me a fist bump.  Too young, unless she is game, but I just treated it as what it was.  Then the eyes started happening.  You know how people talk with their eyes.  Just now she waved to me enthusiastically.  It is just being friendly, right?

There is the young woman who is quick to laugh and giggle when I talk to her, but I know there is nothing there.  She is just another workaholic like me.

These are just the things that I am trying to figure out as I go through life with ASD.  I will never know.  If I get a clue, I will tell you.
