I published a book review early last year about the first three books, published in successive years and there was no slow down, the next was out in mid 2014 and two days ago I picked up number five.
Every book feels like the main characters are going to die, and they can't get out of the impending doom. Each time the scope of the books increases, the picture that is described becomes clearer, the horror, the wonder, the grit, it is all there it keeps the same standard of the first book. Five books later and the standards have not slipped. Think about it.
This fall it is supposed to be released as a television show. If it gets transmitted half as well as the Game of thrones television show was, it will be something to watch. And unlike GRRM, if Corey slows to half speed, the series will be done before the last season is out. Five of nine out and almost read.
I am wondering why I am writing this and not reading…
