Autistic brain theory

One of the oddities of my brand of autism strikes when I in our modern society insist on doing things the old way, in person.  Reservation of rentals, applying for jobs and government applications.  Yesterday I did a few of those.  I applied for Employment Insurance benefits and I looked into securing some moving aid and I did it all in person and then I had to go home and do it online.

I was on the Demisexual forums yesterday and I explained it there; it is all about brain theory.  Every time a person does a task a new pathway is formed in their head.  Repeatedly doing something reinforces that behaviour or idea.  Like spelling a word consistently incorrect and correcting it everyday, you still do it and you still correct it.  For some reason although I will search for information everyday on the Internet, I don't go to Amazon to buy books and I don't purchase anything on line— even though when I do I only have good experiences.  My local bookstore does not complain either.

But what bothers me is that I go into some locations to do business and they are not equipped to help me because everyone does it online, so I have to go home and do it there.  There are other problems too, because I do a lot of certain activities on my computer when ever I boot it up I do those things first.  After a couple hours of computer games the question is asked why did I turn this on?

I have made a habit of blogging at Tim Hortons.  It has become difficult to do it anywhere else, must because of the warm and inviting environment!

Clearly I need help
